Kaptly is in public beta

Kaptly is currently in public beta. Core form creation, publishing and response collection features are available, but the platform and certain advanced features have not yet undergone a complete independent engineering and security review. Bugs, interruptions and incorrect states may occur. Do not use Kaptly to collect highly sensitive information or for mission-critical workflows. Payment-related information should always be verified directly with the relevant payment provider.

This page explains that in more detail: what's solid today, what's experimental, and what hasn't been reviewed yet.

Core beta functionality

These are exercised in normal, tested use and are the intended way to use Kaptly today:

  • Account signup and login
  • Form building — fields, conditional logic, piping, branding
  • Publishing a form and collecting responses
  • Viewing results and exporting/deleting individual responses
  • Trash and restore for forms and brands

Experimental functionality

These work but are newer, less exercised, or depend on third-party services — treat them as beta-within-the-beta:

  • AI document import (sends uploaded document text to a third-party AI provider — see the Subprocessors page)
  • Automations (scheduled/triggered emails, outbound webhooks, and owner-configured Slack delivery)
  • Outbound webhooks to your own systems
  • Lead scoring and tiering

Sensitive feature: payment links

Kaptly's payment field links out to a payment provider the form owner already has an account with — Kaptly never processes the payment itself and does not track whether it was completed. Do not provide access, goods, services, refunds or other benefits based on anything shown in Kaptly's results table. Always verify the transaction directly with your payment provider.

Details and the reasoning behind this are in the Payment Feature Notice.

Features that require independent technical review

Security review neededDeveloper confirmation needed

The full codebase and platform have not yet undergone an independent engineering or security audit. Until that happens, do not treat Kaptly as hardened against determined attackers, and do not rely on it as your only copy of important data.

What this disclaimer does not do

This notice is informational, not a substitute for technical safeguards. Kaptly's operator is still responsible for fixing bugs and reviewing security as the platform matures — this page exists so you can make an informed decision about what to put into it in the meantime.
